Today I want to share a card I made for
the monthly card challange at Technique Tuesday.
I almost gave up on this one. The card itself is fairly easy to make, if you follow the directions on the site. It was the decorating of the card that stumped me.
First I made rosettes. They didn't look right. Then I used silk flowers, nope. Then I found this paper that had these cute flowers and butterfies on it. So I cut them out and made branches on my Cricut. Then I tucked them in putting the larger ones in the back and taping the leaves behind them. I added the little butterflies to the branches. I think that is my favorite part.
Of course I had to add a verse to match the card.
Have a blessed day.
Oh my gosh, Carol!!! This is FABULOUS! I am loving the amazing bright colors--and I LOVE the use of the scripture on the font! BEAUTIFUL card!!! :) Thanks for joining me at Technique Tuesday! :)

Hi Carol, came across your blog through Word Art Wednesday! I love your card. I love the sentiment and all the beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteI have also been admiring your lovely photos of Canada. They brought back a lot of memories. We had a family holiday to Canada in 2009 and we just loved it. Would love to go back!
I have become a follower too!

This is so cool. Love the shape of this card and the flowers in it.
ReplyDeleteIt really makes me happy. The summer here in Holland is full of rain (bleugh). But this card makes me long for some sunny and warm days. Which I hope really will come here in Holland.
Thanks so much for playing along with us on WAW.

Such a beautiful explosion of colors. I'm not sure how to decorate the cascading card but I'll keep thinking and looking for inspiration.
