The Venue

Here is this week's wedding layout!  The wedding was held at an estate less than five minutes from our home.  The barn was a perfect spot for a carnival themed wedding.

 I used a sketch from Let's Scrap!
I made a cloud template with my Cricut.  I used white ink to create a cloud background.  I wanted to
imitate the clouds in the photos.
Then I made a sign similar to the one in the picture and attached balloons.

Here are some more close-ups of the layout.

Smashing Travel Case

Over at the Smash-a-holics Facebook page,
gals have been putting together cases to smash on the go.
So since I LOVE to travel, I knew I need to make one for my upcoming trip to the Outer Banks.
So I bought my "case" in the cosmetic aisle in Target.

It has two large pockets on either side and a flat double sided pocket in the middle.
Now I had to gather my supplies.  Since this is a beach and lighthouse themed trip, I picked out beachy things, along with basic travel stuff.
I wrapped some various washi around tags so they will lay flat and take up less room.
I gathered my travel stamps and an acrylic block.  Then I collected all my smashy stuff, papers, journaling cards, stickers....
I put my stamps and inks in one side.
(There is a ton more room in the pocket)
I use a regular journal for my travel smash.
I mainly put brochures, postcards, napkins,
and whatever else I find along the way into this book.

On the other side I put all my
embellishments and bulky items.
So now while I am sitting in the hotel at night I can just grab my smash case and journal about our day. I love going to visitor centers and grabbing all sorts of things to put in my book.
I am all packed up and ready to go!

Smashing Station

I put my ever so handy husband to work making me some craft storage for all my smash booking supplies.  I drew him up some plans so all my supplies would fit just right.
After he was done, I painted and modge podged some papers to the front of the box.
Then I filled it up with all my supplies.  I want him to
make me another one because I still
have more things to organize.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Here Comes The Bride

Just a quick post to show you the wedding
layout I made this week.

All the bridesmaids and grooms men danced down the aisle with bubble guns.  So FUN!

Sorry for the blur but I cropped a phone picture.  I love the bubble as they walk down the aisle.  I had to raise one of the photos to cover up the back of a bald guys head.

Thanks for stopping by!

Smash Book Fun

Last night I Skype Smashed with a friend.  It was fun.  We both worked on our pages and chatted.
Winter just wouldn't leave this year.
We had snow well into springtime!

Here is my other page for January.  We went on a cruise with some friends.  It was super fun!

This page is all about how millions of people go to DC to see and take pictures of the cherry blossoms.  There are so many people snapping pictures, you would think that the trees are movie stars and the paparazzi are trying to get the best shot.
My son Christopher moved with his girlfriend to Colorado.  They both have an adventurous spirit and will have a blast!

Tiny Canvas Creations

Today I pulled out some itty bitty canvases.
They are 4"x 5" in size.

I painted the background my favorite color of blue.  Then I took some tissue paper and twisted them into pretty little flowers.
I glued the flowers to paper circles.
Twist the paper as you go around.

I added some stamps, paint, rub-ons and ink to the canvas  Then I cut out grass,
stems, and leaves from green paper.  I Modge Podged it all on and
add some paint and more stamps for texture.

My next canvas I did the same steps and added a heart.
Less of self and more of Jesus, More and more each day like Thee; Just to live in full surrender For my Lord who ransomed me. —Wonder

No life is more secure than a life surrendered to God.

Carnival Themed Wedding

Just a quick post today to share this weeks wedding layout.  I used a sketch from Let's Scrap.
Family and friends helped to make this a real fun wedding.  We made everything!  We created invitations, signs, place settings, banners, window rosettes, pompoms, center pieces.....  My craft room was nicknamed the "wedding sweatshop."  It was totally worth all the work.  The barn looked fabulous and it made for a real fun atmosphere.
