February Smash Chalenge

It is challenge time over at Life in Details Challenge Blog.  You can visit the blog HERE.  This month is all about red and pink.  If you have a Project Life or Smash*book page using these colors, link it up to the blog and you could be next months guest designer.

I am using the 365 Smash*book for 2014.  I like that they have preprinted holiday pages.  So all I have to do is add some pictures, a journaling pocket and bits of washi tape.

All of my kids are blessed with their own special valentines. I hope they don't mind me adding them to my pages. My hubby was a good sport to pose in front of the valentine snowman I made yesterday.

I LOVE how these pages turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Snow Day!

Well, Northern Virginia got hit with some snow!  Twelve inches is a HUGE storm for this area.  We are all huddle up in our homes waiting for the all clear.  Hahahaha

I had to go out and shovel the walkway so our pets could get out.

Last night we all guessed how much snow we would receive overnight.  Matthew hit it right on the nose!

Of course this Chicago girl had to go out and build a snowman.  The snow was perfect!

I had a hard time finding things for his face, so he looks a bit freaky!  I cut out some hearts for our Valentine picture.  Yes I plan photos.

Enjoy your day off!

Handmade Valetines

This week I have had an opportunity to make some cute Valentine cards with family and friends.  We found all the ideas on Pinterest and made a few tweeks to using the supplies we have in the craft room.
This one was a favorite we created with a typewriter stamp.  You can make this cad for most any occasion.  All you have to do is change out your message.

This was a tricky one to figure out.  My dear DIL figured it out and made it easy for me to stitch it write up.  Of course we
used up some more of that lovely red twine!
This one is super simple and was a favorite of my friends.  Just place three strips of your favorite washi tape across the card and add a cute message.  Again this can be
 made for any occasion.
This last one is a simple red and white card.  Just run it through the Cuttlebug and you have a great pattern to place tiny hearts.
Yes, we used some red twine to finish it off.

I used the Wink of Stella brush pen on most of my cards. It adds a touch of sparkle to your cards. It give the same effect as Stickles with out the long drying time.  It literally drys in a few seconds.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed day!
