We are back from our Colorado vacation.
We had a couple hours to burn before meeting up with our son, so we did some touristy things in downtown Denver. Our first stop was the big blue bear looking in the convention center.
Then we went to the capital building. It was under construction, which was disappointing. Now I know how DC tourists feel when our monuments are being fixed. Our mission was to stand on the 13th step of the capital. At this point you are exactly one mile above sea level.
|So up the steps we climbed!|
We arrived to the engraved step and took in the view!
We met up with our son and his fiance. We ate at a great local restaurant.
Thanks for stopping by,
I will share more of our adventure soon!
