Free E-Reader Books

Today I was checking out my freebie sites and came across free ebooks for the Kindle.  I was thinking boy I wish I had a Kindle so I could get all these free books.  But at the end of the post she tells us that we can download the Kindle for PC for FREE.  She also has a website
that shares all the links to free ebooks.  So now I have the "Kindle" on my laptop and a bunch of books to read!

Go check it out!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Monday, Monday......

Today I went looking for bargains. We have a huge Salvation Army Store nearby so I wanted to checkout the kitchenware section for entertaining goodies and to see if I could fine something to use as night stands in our guest room.

I didn’t find and furniture, but I found these:

We don’t have room for end/coffee tables so I thought these trays would work good to put food and drinks on.  See how great it is working for my afternoon snack and read!  I like the idea of up/recycling these items.

Next I went to a place called Mc Kay’s Used Books.  My son has been telling me about this place for months.  I thought it was a little used book store, with a bunch of old outdated books.  I was SO WRONG!  This place is HUGE.  The cookbook aisle caught my eye and I spent a half hour looking at books.  I grabbed these books for between 3-7 dollars.  Two of them are brand new.  I am in trouble.   I will be going back to that place again for sure!
I love a good bargain!
Have a blessed day.

Quick Trip to Florida

I was able to tag along on a recent business trip to Tampa.
Of course we had to mark off a couple more lighthouses and an item from my  Travel Book

Sanibel Island Lighthouse

This beach is has the best shelling in the Western Hemisphere.  The shells are ate least 6 inches deep.  The best shells are found at low tide along the shore.  When you bring up your hands they are full of shells.

Sanibel Stoop

Finally saw a CROC!

On My Nightstand

I have been trying to get off the computer and do more crafts and READ.
I don't have a favorite genre,
just books that people recommend, books I find at Ollies (best place for cheap books)
and of course my favorite place, the library.
I love books on travel, cooking, photography, organization, devotionals....
Clutter Rehab  and Organized Simplicity are about organizing not only your things but also how we can live a more simple life.
One Thousand Gifts is a Day Spring Bookclub book.
Cure For the Common Life I'm going to find my "sweet spot"!!
Walking with God in America and New England Coast (Ollie finds!)  Are picture books with wonderful captions.
What are you reading right now?

The Shack

My church is starting a book club . I plan to follow the reading list this year. The waiting list at the library for this book is 90 people long. I saw a friend at church carrying the book and asked if they were enjoying it. I spoke about the long waiting list and she said she just finished the book. She then let me take the book home to read!!!! THANK YOU!

So I read The Shack, by William P. Young in one day. It is a good fictional story. It gave me a great deal to think about. I don't want to give anything away. So if you have read this book and wish to discuss it, please feel free to email me.
One thing I can share are the quotes that are at the beginning of each chapter. So I will be putting them at the end of my daily entries.
Have a blessed day.
