Smash Day

This week I got together with the girls to do some smashbooking.  I finished up the pages from out trip to Ithaca New York.  I love using all the maps, brochures and tickets in my pages.  I always have my husband ask for two of everything so I have something to smash at the end of our day.

I love TOMS!

Michael's birthday page

For Mother's Day Matthew and Sarah
 made me a smashbook.

On the first page they put our picture from last year and then I added a picture from this year.
Each year we are going to add the previous years and the current years pictures.

Sarah made this side
Matthew made this side.
They are both really good at smashing!

Thanks for taking a peek at my pages.
Have blessed day.

Catching Up

Love that all my bulbs I planted last fall came up this spring!
Meg and I got together for a day of smashing.  I made 8 more pages in 365 Smashbook.  This book is all about the seasons and holidays.  I am having a hard time finding things to put in this book, but I am chugging along in it.
So proud of these two!  They are living out their faith and
becoming awesome servants in ministry.

This one was an Instagram picture that Matthew took while subbing.  Those kids are sure lucky to have him as a teacher.
All my cropping buddies!  I can't wait till next years crop.

I wanted to document the Olympics this year. Not my favorite page, but it's done!

I love my bird page!  I can spend hours snapping pictures of our backyard birds.  When it is snowing they all come out to feed.  This page already had a pretty bird printed on it, so I knew I would put my birds on it.
We had a doozy of a winter this year.
I lost count of the number snowfalls.

It was fun working with these ladies to create a
beautiful evening for fathers and their daughters.

The next two pages are from my
 "Things I Love" Smashbook.
I have learned to love these movies!
I watch them so many times, I can even repeat quotes from the movies.

Here are some of my favorite Apps from my I Phone.
I even got my hubby to get hooked on a game.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a blessed day.

February Smash Chalenge

It is challenge time over at Life in Details Challenge Blog.  You can visit the blog HERE.  This month is all about red and pink.  If you have a Project Life or Smash*book page using these colors, link it up to the blog and you could be next months guest designer.

I am using the 365 Smash*book for 2014.  I like that they have preprinted holiday pages.  So all I have to do is add some pictures, a journaling pocket and bits of washi tape.

All of my kids are blessed with their own special valentines. I hope they don't mind me adding them to my pages. My hubby was a good sport to pose in front of the valentine snowman I made yesterday.

I LOVE how these pages turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Smash Time

Here are a couple of pages for my "Things I Love" Smash*book.  If you look in my pantry you will ALWAYS find supplies to make s'mores.  We have a wonderful fire pit that we use to make this delicious delicacy .  My fabulous husband will build me a fire just so I can make myself a s'more. Yes, I know you can make them in the microwave or on the stove top.  But I love roasting them over the open fire!
I am a 70's girl.
In this page I had fun smashing all the things
that were part of my childhood.

Thanks for taking a look at my smash pages.
Have a blessed day!

2014 Smash*book

At the crop I began my 2014 Smash*book.  I am using the 365 Portfolio.  I used the Simple Stories papers for the front of my album.
Here is my resolution page.
You won't find any promises of weight loss or exercising.
Who are we kidding, by the time you are reading this we have all slacked on those resolutions.
I resolve to grow closer to Christ every day, and with the help of His Holy Spirit to “pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness” (1 Timothy 6:11).
Less of Me and More of HIM!
I made this snow page using modeling paste and a new pen that I found at the crop.  It is called the snow marker. It goes on your paper like a wet white marker.  But then you use a heat gun and it puffs up to look like snow!  It is so cool.  It reminds me of an 8th grade science experiment.
Can you see the puffy snow?
Remember you can look at all my Smashbook pages under the tab at the top of my blog.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a blessed day!

Finish 2013 Smash*book

I have finished my 2013 Smash*book!  It is my first completed book.  Yes, it is very chunky and I love it!

I really liked working in the Smash format.  I didn't have to "plan" my pages and have to have just the right stuff to complete a page.  I am using up all my old papers and stickers.  Not to say that I don't go out and buy new cute papers, but it is not happening as much.

I found these pictures from our trip to CO this past summer and had to add them to our book.  I loved going to the game with my son and his now wife!  It was fun to see them embrace their new hometown and root for the Rockies.  But I am happy the Cubbies pulled out a WIN!

I made a pocket for the map and brochures from our trip to Dolly Wood.  I also put journaling on the back of a picture and made a washi tab so you can easily pull it out and read it.

On our Thanksgiving page I wrapped a chipboard frame with washi tape and made a pocket for all the leaves we wrote on during the month.  I used up a lot old stickers on this page.
Old rub-ons and fussy cuts from some paper made these pages come together nicely.
These pages have a ton of journaling about all the games we played at Christmas.  Do you see the flair (buttons)?  Those are from JC Penny's promotion last year.  I took the pins off the back and they make great embelishments.
My last one for the year was our Christmas celebration.  We celebrate on Christmas Eve, with church and present time.  It was so nice to have the kids home at Christmas.  As they get older and we don't see them as much, moments like this are very special!

Since sharing this DT opportunity I have completed my entry to the DT call.  We had to use the following sketch:

I used a mix of Simple Stories and Echo Park papers.

I was also working on a craft project using burlap, so I added a piece of scrap to add texture to the page.  And yes, I even used the twine/thread from the burlap to wrap around the photo. You know me I don't like to waste a thing!

I enjoy using sketches.  They give you a great jumping off point for you pages.

January Smash Challenge

It's January and it is challenge time over at Life in Details Blog.
This months challenge is to use BLING!
You can make any themed Smashbook or Project Life layout for the challenge.
But to win you must ENTER!
Please stop by the blog to see what the other designers did with their pages.
Click here to go to challenge page
I went looking through my bling stash and found PINK bling.  I knew exactly which page I wanted to add them to.  Back in October I went to a charity scrapbook day.  All the profits went to a breast cancer awareness/research organization.
I spent 12 hours smash/scrapping, eating and catching up with friends.
I added my bling all the way around the page to make sure it popped when you looked at the page.

I get to scrap with these ladies a few times a year
and we have so much fun.  I can't wait to do it again real soon.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
 Have a blessed day!
