February Smash Chalenge

It is challenge time over at Life in Details Challenge Blog.  You can visit the blog HERE.  This month is all about red and pink.  If you have a Project Life or Smash*book page using these colors, link it up to the blog and you could be next months guest designer.

I am using the 365 Smash*book for 2014.  I like that they have preprinted holiday pages.  So all I have to do is add some pictures, a journaling pocket and bits of washi tape.

All of my kids are blessed with their own special valentines. I hope they don't mind me adding them to my pages. My hubby was a good sport to pose in front of the valentine snowman I made yesterday.

I LOVE how these pages turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

January Smash Challenge

It's January and it is challenge time over at Life in Details Blog.
This months challenge is to use BLING!
You can make any themed Smashbook or Project Life layout for the challenge.
But to win you must ENTER!
Please stop by the blog to see what the other designers did with their pages.
Click here to go to challenge page
I went looking through my bling stash and found PINK bling.  I knew exactly which page I wanted to add them to.  Back in October I went to a charity scrapbook day.  All the profits went to a breast cancer awareness/research organization.
I spent 12 hours smash/scrapping, eating and catching up with friends.
I added my bling all the way around the page to make sure it popped when you looked at the page.

I get to scrap with these ladies a few times a year
and we have so much fun.  I can't wait to do it again real soon.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
 Have a blessed day!

November Challenge

It's challenge time over at Life in Details.  This month you can print out some fun embellishments to use on a smash page or a Project Life spread.  Then just submit your project on the right hand side of the blog. You will have a chance to become a guest designer on the blog.
I had a chance to visit with my cousin and his lovely wife, this past September, so I made this page in my 365 book.  I used the printables, MME papers, washi tapes, and some twine.

Thanks for stopping by!

October Challenge

The October challenge is up at LIFE IN DETAILS.

Create a Project Life card or a Smash book page using the sketch below.  Remember you can flip the sketch how ever you want.
Here is my take on the sketch.  I pulled out my wedding Smash book and added a new page.
These 1984 wedding photos crack me up.  Weddings sure have changed since the 80's!

Cards Galore

Well I have been in a card making mood lately.
So I hope some of these cards inspire
you to create one today.

This card is a replica of a birthday card
I received from my friend Jule.

I made this card for a couple who celebrated their 25th anniversary last weekend.  I used silver paper and ribbon!  I embossed each square with a different pattern.  I enjoy my Cuttlebug machine.

I made the pumpkin using three ovals and overlapping them to make the shape.  Sarah made this birthday card with a fun stamps set she found at Michael's.  I need to try that one soon.

Sarah made this cute card for a new arrival at her church.  I love the lettering and twine touches.

Here are the cards I made at a craft day at Sarah's church.  They were so easy to make.  I used scraps of all different colors, embossed them, added a button and twine.  I will add a little greeting at the bottom as needed.

They are so bright and cheery for most any occasion.

This is a card Sarah made for a birthday (man).  I love the variety of papers and the stars.  So CUTE!
This one is so simple if you have a circle and heart punch.
This last one is from this weeks sketch at Let's Scrap
Thanks for taking a peek at all of our cards.  Have a blessed day!

I'm Back

Well I am back in business.
I have gotten back into my craft room
and created this layout.
I used a sketch and challenge from Let's Scrap
I use my phone app called Instagram.
It is one of my favorite apps on my phone.
I took a picture on each day this week.  We had our first fire in our stove. We visited the International Spy Museum in DC. I grabbed a flower picture. During my morning walks, I pass by these horses playing in the fields and my phone keeps track of my workouts.   This was a good snapshot of my week.

I got a new camera stamp by Unity that I thought would be perfect for this page.
My papers are made by Simple Stories.
Here are a few more close-ups of my page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Let's Scrap

Here is another great sketch from the Let's Scrap site.  I am working through my road trip pictures.  Here we are in Rocky Mountain National Park.  This was such a fun day spent with our son.  We hiked many trails and saw awsome wildlife.  I usually don't want to go back to places I have visited,  (There are just too many more to see!)  but I want to go back and spend a few more days here exploring!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Cards

I pulled out my purple papers for the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used my Cuttlebug, bling and a bit of twine to finish off the card.
These next cards are ideas from Pinterest.  My DIL Sarah, is making thank you cards for their missionary work.  I love the bright colors.  They were so easy to put together.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Cards

Here a couple of cards I worked on this week.  I am dreaming of cooler weather so I made this snowy card!  I used Doodlebug Papers, TPC Studio stamps and my Winter Lace Cricut cartridge.

I used some pop dots and added a bit of sparkle with Stickles.  The sketch for the card came from Freshly Made Sketches.
I am adding to my collection of thank you cards. You never know when you will need one. I used MME papers, Martha punch, and an old wooden stamp.

I used the sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday for my inspiration.  I am also submitting this card at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.

I enjoy butterflies and popped them up on this card.
I like the dimension it gave to the card.

Scrappy Time

I had to make a layout from the Let's Scrap sketch.  Remember I made a couple of cards last week?  Well, I liked the hexagons so much I made this layout of Matthew and I eating "the best BBQ in Kansas City".

We found this place on trip advisor.  They had so many BBQ joints that claimed to be the best.  We picked Oklahoma Joes and it was real good!

Over at Colorful Creations, their challenge was to make a two page birthday layout with banners.  Since I didn't have any pictures, I grabbed a sketch from Let's Scrap and created this fun layout.  I will have to search out some birthday pictures for it later.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!
