Scrapping Time

While visiting Jule we always find time to
get some scrapbooking done.
Here are the layouts I finished.  Sorry for the bad pictures,
I was to lazy to take them out of the album.

Winter 2010

Snowmageddon is what the weather stations are calling this winter's storms. We have been bunkered down in the house for days.  Trees are falling, icicles growing  and snow is falling/blowing sideways. Good thing I can just sit by the window and watch the beautiful snow.

Mosaic Class

Over the weekend I taught a scrapbooking class up at my old church in New York.
We made mosaic pages. At first people were nervous about cutting their pictures up into tiny pieces.  But they all jumped right in and created wonderful works of art.
We took a break and enjoyed a chili and sandwich lunch.
Here are all the girls with their fnished pages.  Some didn't finish and took them home to hopefully complete at another time.  It was great fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  Thanks for inviting me up to be a part of your craft day!

Snow Play

We took an overnight trip to western Maryland.  We stayed at a resort that had all the activities we love to do.  Michael and I went cross country skiing.  I found out how out of shape I am, sigh......  I was huffing and puffing around the trails.
We had a nice dinner and Christopher was able to eat his favorite food SUSHI!
After dinner we hit the snow tubbing hill.
This was a really nice hill with great flow!

The next day Chris and Michael hit the slopes for some skiing.
It was a fun little trip to the mountains.

Look Who is 50 Today!

Sarah dugout her old Light Bright tonight and made Michael a nice cake!

I was just going to put the 50 on the cake, but the kids insisted that we put on all 50candles.  It was a tight fit bt we did it.  I like this picture with the kids and Michael's hands.

I'm so thankful for my husband for so many things. We've been married 25 years.
He is dependable.
He is honest.
He has a great sense of humor.
He is caring.
He loves the Lord.
He loves our children and spending time with them.
He tries to thank me as much as he can for making dinner and is very helpful around the house.

I pray that we can celebrate many more birthdays together.

Busy 2 Weeks

This week I went to HCC and updated my computer
skills by learning the basics of ID CS4.
It is a fancy publishing program.
So if anyone needs a brohure, catalog, or book made,
 I am your gal. LOL

I received a bunch of freebies in the mail recently.
If you want to get something besides bills in the mail,
go sign up for some free stuff.
There are tons of stuff out there on the web.
I put my favorite sites on my sidebar.

Last week I worked at the cold weather
shelter hosted by our church.  I worked in the
kitchen and helped clean the buiding during the week.
It has been cold here in MD and the people were
happy for a place to sleep each night and a warm meal.
Compassion is love in action.

Note to SELF

Note to self....... Don't fill your beanbags
in the winter in your very dry house
lest you and your house will be
covered in white foamy things.
That is all.

12 MInutes ~ 12 Memories

I follow this blog Stacy Julian.  She is a fellow scrapbooker.  She did this thing 12 Minutes 12 Memories.

1.Create a “2009 Favorites” folder on your computer.

2.Open up your digital photo library.

3.Set your timer for 12 minutes and hit start.

4.Scroll quickly through your photos until an image catches your eye.

5.Stop and save this image to your folder.

6.Continue selecting and saving until your timer beeps.

7. Post and share them with friends.

Well I had a hard time picking favorites so I picked out the ones that caught my eye and jogged a good memory.  So here are my 12.  If you do this let me know!
