Green Thumb????
I am a perennial girl.
I plant things that come back on their own each year.
Bulbs are my favorite.
But this year my daughter talked me
into trying some herbs and vegtables.
So we planted oregano, two kinds of basil,
chives, and parsely in one pot
and tomatos an peppers in another.
These plantes were tiny last week and look at them today.
It is a little miracle!
I have used the herbs in my spaghetti sauce
and on a pizza.
YUMMMM!
I added a bird bath to my front yard.
I can see it from the couch.
No birds have taken advantage of it yet
but it is still pretty to look at.
We also put some bushes on the side of the house on the hill.

Camping
We took a trip to the Eastern Shore.
We spent the day riding our bikes around the cape.
We played a round of frisbee golf.
It is a bit different playing in the sand than in the woods.
The kids found a bunch of horseshoe crabs on the beach.
We climb the 200 steps to the top of this tower.
We had a super view of the whole park.
The next day we took a bike ride down on the boardwalk.
Japanese Festival
We visited DC a few weeks ago to join n the Sakura Matsuri Festival.
They closed down a bunch of blocks and set up stages, vendors and cultural displays.
Sarah found this Hello Kitty mask.
They had bonsai tree demonstrations. Since this festival is held during the cherry blossum festival, this tree seemed to be the star attraction.
