Getting my Craft ON!

Today I worked with the sketch from Let's Scrap.  It is a great site, go check it out!  I have run low on family pictures, but I always have FLOWER pictures laying around.  So I decided to use them for this layout.

If you have ever read my photography blog you know that I am addicted to taking pictures of flowers.  I drag my husband to gardens when ever we travel.  Sometime I even creep onto private property to get a picture of their gardens.  So if you see a strange lady with a camera in your front yard, please don't shoot it's just me.

I used the Summer Fresh papers by Simple Stories.

As I was making this page, I realized that I need some more edging scissors.  They would make some really cute strips.  I didn't have an 8x10 picture so I just made a collage with my photos.  I added some pop dots under the title.  I love pop dots!

Then I just used the stickers that were in the kit to add to the other page.  A little doodling and I am done.  This layout went together quickly.
Here is sneek peek of what else I am doing in my craft. room.  I am making another jean rag quilt for someone special. If you missed the first one, you can find the tutorial HERE.

I am making a wall quilt using the page from my art journal as inspiration.  My friend Jule is making a baby blanket with these little birdies too.  So cute.  Stay tuned for a tutorial on this quilt.

My husband is an avid flower picture taker, too, and we have some framed and use them as wall art in our home. There is just something peaceful about these photos that just puts all at ease! Love your layout!

You are very crafty my friend. I love your flower layout, it is just so bright and cheery with all your beautiful photos and the papers you used. Great take on the sketch.
